Sin Chen Yeong

A graduate of Malaysia Multimedia University, Sin Chen Yeong was the pupil of Mr. Chia Cheng Wee of Messrs. Chia & Lee, Malacca before being called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2015. Thereafter, he practised as Legal Assistant in Messrs. Philip Chua & Co. (Muar & Malacca), dealing mostly in the matters of Conveyancing, Debt Recovery, Bankruptcy, Corporate, and General Litigation.

In January 2017, he founded Messrs. CHENYEONG in Melaka, Malaysia. Messrs. CHENYEONG is to be merged with S.Y. Lim & Partners in January 2024 to form Sin & Lim.

In May 2019, he obtained Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Certificate in Sports Arbitration and was later empaneled as Panelist with the Asian Sports Tribunal at AIAC in January 2024.

In August 2020, Chen Yeong was appointed the Legal Advisor and Committee Member of Malacca Central Karate Association.

In January 2021, he was accredited as Mediator by UK's Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and was empaneled as Mediator at AIAC in the same year.

In October 2022, Chen Yeong was appointed the Legal Advisor and Committee Member of Malacca State Judo Association.

In December 2023, he has been granted full registration by the Supreme Court of Singapore and has been registered as foreign lawyer of Singapore International Commercial Court.

An ardent believer in Human Rights and the accessibility of justice for the masses, Chen Yeong take up pro bono cases from time to time. Joined Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (National Legal Aid Foundation) as a volunteer lawyer in 2016 to further the cause of providing legal services to the people who are unable to afford a lawyer. He is appointed as Trainer for Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (National Legal Aid Foundation) in August 2024.

Ms Lim was a graduate of Malaysia Multimedia University in 2017, upon graduation, she commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Andrew T.S. Goh & Khairil under the tutelage of Ms Andrea Goh and was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2018.

In 2022, Ms Lim founded Messrs. S.Y. Lim & Partners, following the merger with Messrs. CHENYEONG and official renamed as Messrs. Sin & Lim in 2024. 

Ms. Lim's primary areas of practice involved in a full range of conveyancing matters relating to real estate and property financing. She has vast experience in handling subsales, residential/industrial/commercial tenancies/lease and major property developers in the sale and purchase transactions of mixed developments, landed stratified developments, as well as commercial/industrial developments with freehold and leasehold titles. 

In the area of Banking & Finance, Ms. Lim has regularly advised financial institutions in property financing including drawdown for individuals or corporate bodies, for both conventional and Islamic financing facilities and facilitation of refinancing arrangements.

Ms. Lim does also advise foreigners on legal matters relating to foreign acquisition of real property (RPGT/FIC/State Government approval for foreign acquisition) in Malaysia to ensure the sale transactions are in line with the Malaysian regulations.

Aside from conveyancing matters, Ms. Lim is also regularly sought for advice in corporate matters relating to the drafting of commercial agreements on joint venture, shareholding, partnership, and settlement. Ms. Lim also provides advisory and legal support to individuals seeking to execute wills as well as general matters pertaining to estate and trust.

Donovan Lee Shyun Hyn

Donovan is a dedicated legal professional with over a decade of experience in various facets of law. A graduate of the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), he was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2012. After years of honing his legal expertise at several reputable law firms and within the Bar Council, Donovan founded Don & Partners in July 2022. 

His legal journey is marked by numerous exposures in tax litigation, corporate finance, intellectual property, and conveyancing. Donovan’s experience also includes serving as an in-house lawyer for a top global accounting firm, where he further developed his skills in corporate and commercial law.

As the managing partner of Don & Partners, Donovan is committed to leading the firm with integrity and excellence. He is passionate about criminal litigation and continues to provide top-tier legal services to the firm’s corporate clients. Outside of his legal practice, Donovan proudly serves in the Malaysian Armed Forces Royal Military Police Corps (Territorial Army), embodying his dedication to both his country and legal profession.

Bahij Bisyri Audi Binti Abdul Razak

Bisyri is a skilled legal professional with a background in both civil and Shariah law. She holds double degrees from the International Islamic University Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2020. In the same year, she was also admitted as a Syarie Counsel of the Syariah High Court of federal Territories. Since joining Don & Partners as a Partner in March 2024, Bisyri has brought her extensive knowledge and experience in litigation to the forefront of the firm’s practice.

With proficiency in both civil and criminal litigation, Bisyri's portfolio is focused on general litigation, encompassing areas such as debt recovery, bankruptcy, and tortious claims. Her expertise extends beyond the courtroom, as she also provides advisory services and drafts various legal contracts, including Tenancy Agreements, Shareholders Agreements, Partnership Agreements, and Joint Venture Agreements.

Bisyri’s experience includes representing both corporate and private clients in Malaysian courts, where she has served as both solicitor and defense counsel. Her commitment to delivering exceptional legal services makes her a valuable asset to the firm and a trusted advocate for her clients.

Pang Jia Yi

Ms Jia Yi graduated with LLB (Hons) from Oxford Brookes University, UK in 10th June 2016 and obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in November 2017.

Upon called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 23rd April 2019, she joined Messrs. Andrew T.S. Goh & Khairil involving civil litigation and conveyancing. Subsequently, she joined Messrs. Wilson Leong & Co as legal assistant in September 2020 involving conveyancing and banking loan documentation agreement.

In Sin & Lim, she will be handling perfection of transfer/charge, Receipt and Reassignment, sale and purchase agreements and banking documentations. Apart from the above, she has vast experience in drafting and preparing housing developer’s agreement - Sch G and Sch H under the HDA.
